Prospect Byron Buxton ready to break out in 2016

Byron Buxton's first stint in the big leagues didn't go as planned. The former No. 2 overall pick was called up in June and got seven hits in 35 at-bats before spending a month and a half on the disabled list with a thumb injury. He was re-called late in August, but finished the season with just two home runs and a .209/.250/.326 slash line in 129 AB. Buxton has dealt with injuries since he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2012, but has always impressed on the field throughout his time in the minor leagues. He owns a career .301/.383/.489 slash line in 1,069 AB across all levels of the minors. Buxton already has four plus tools, and his power has the potential to be above-average, as well. If he can remain healthy, the No. 2 prospect in baseball -- still only 22 years old -- should adjust quickly and begin to produce at a high level sooner rather than later. His upside is enough to warrant drafting him before his ADP of 196.
