Quincy Enunwa (WR, NYJ) - Week 5 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 58% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: Prior to the season, Quincy Enunwa was projected to be either the New York Jets' No. 2 or No.3 wide receiver behind Robby Anderson and possibly veteran Terrelle Pryor, who the team signed during the offseason. Enunwa missed all of last season with a neck injury. He did have some success back in 2016, hauling in 58 passes for 857 yards and four touchdowns. He led that team in receiving yards, touchdowns and plays of 20 or more yards (14) that year.

Enunwa has gotten off to a good start in 2018. The fourth-year veteran is coming off a four-catch, 66-yard Week 4 performance against a tough Jacksonville defense. It was his fourth straight game of at least four receptions and 50 receiving yards. He also has been targeted eight or more times in each game. The Nebraska product currently leads the Jets in all receiving categories.

Enunwa has 21 receptions, on 37 targets, for 278 yards with 149 of those yards coming after the catch -- currently seventh most in the NFL --  and one touchdown for the season. The 26-year-old is not the most efficient receiver, however, he is capable of making big plays. He is also tied for 23rd with four catches of 20 or more yards while averaging 13.2 yards per reception.

Enunwa, ranked No.34 among receivers in fantasy points, has already developed good chemistry with rookie quarterback Sam Darnold and he is unquestionably the team's No. 1 receiver going forward -- garnering slightly more than 30% of the Jets targets. The former sixth-round draft pick has been targeted three times (six) more than any other Jets' players in the red zone, although he just has two catches totaling 11 yards.

With Enunwa seeing so much volume, there is no better time than the present to grab him off the waiver wire before the price gets too expensive. He has some exploitable matchups upcoming if Darnold is able to improve his accuracy, starting with the Denver Broncos at home in Week 5. The Broncos have allowed one wide receiver, Amari Cooper, to surpass the 100 yard mark and three touchdowns to wideouts this season. After facing the Broncos, the Jets hosts Indianapolis and Minnesota before traveling to Chicago. One thing for sure is that Enunwa will see a lot of throws his way.
