Analysis: Rajai Davis can always be counted on for stolen base production. However, with a .286 BA and .815 OPS to start this season off, he is providing Fantasy Baseball Managers with an added offensive bonus. At first glance, it may appear that Davis's success at the plate can be attributed to good luck as he currently holds a .368 BABIP. This may however be hasty pessimism. Davis has increased his line drive percentage to an eye-opening 38% over his career average of 20%.
Davis may be putting the ball in play less, but this is because he has already hit two HR to start the year, which is already far above his typical power-pace. With six stolen bases already to start the year, Davis looks once again ready to provide Fantasy Baseball Managers with a year's worth of speed as well as a pleasantly surprising batting boost thanks to a heavy increase in line drives.
