BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 14% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: There’s no denying that Rashaad Penny has been a massive disappointment this year for fantasy football and NFL fans in general. After landing in Seattle, penny climbed up many dynasty owner’s draft boards with what appeared to be a decent landing spot. Chris Carson and Mike Davis are far from appealing running back prospects. Penny had a lot of positives in his college game and was one of my personal favorite rookies. Obviously that hasn’t panned out. Just last week against Detroit, Penny saw two snaps on the day and they were both on special teams. He’s got great hands, good vision, is a decisive runner, and good agility. One of the biggest flags with him was his pass protection being suspect.
The Seattle running game has been surprisingly efficient this year. Carson is putting up some solid numbers and the Seahawks seem sold on establishing the running game. Protecting Russell Wilson and establishing the run has been successful so far, with their defense being far better than they were expected to be as well.
Penny is worth adding in the deepest leagues out there. Don’t go out of your way to burn your waiver wire priority or FAAB on him, but stash him if possible. If Seattle decides to get it together and give Penny a chance, I want him on my bench when it happens.
