Rashad Jennings Still a Rotating Running Back for Giants

Clearly, the New York Giants are known for their arial attack. Led by Eli Manning, the Giants managed a late-game, fourth-quarter comeback that stunned the San Francisco 49ers, sending them home with their fourth loss of the season.

However, there’s something to be said for the Giant’s running game. Unfortunately, as far as Rashad Jennings is concerned, it’s not much. During Sunday night’s Week 5 performance, Jennings turned in only 46 yards on 11 carries.

While it’s true that he also caught four passes for an additional 21 yards, the performance hardly justifies much fantasy involvement for owners. With mediocre play establishing itself as the norm, it’s unlikely that Tom Coughlin uses Jennings as little more than a rotating running back alongside Andre Williams and Shane Vereen.

Unless Jennings can up his average of 3.4 yards per carry, his role is not likely to change. For now, Shane Vereen is the only Giants’ running back with any real fantasy value.
