BALLER MOVE: Add In All Leagues
OWNED IN: 53% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Here at RotoBaller, we usually keep these weekly waiver pieces restricted to lesser owned players, but in the early days of the NBA season there will guys who suddenly see 50 percent spikes in ownership out of nowhere. It's usually worth owning those players.
Kings center Richaun Holmes is this year's "wow, he's suddenly widely owned" guy. The Kings decided that Dewayne Dedmon wasn't working at center, which led to Holmes getting inserted in the starting five. He's started two games now; in those two games, Holmes is shooting 75 percent from the field and averaging 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds to go along with 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks.
Holmes isn't a league winner. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked to see him fall out of the starting role at some point this season. But for now, Holmes is a solid player on a Kings team that's really, really in need of solid players. That's going to give him the opportunity to score points -- and to do so efficiently -- and grab boards. The steals and blocks are a nice added bonus. Get Richaun Holmes onto your team.
