ANALYSIS: I'm still not sold on Barrett. His efficiency has to improve. He needs to turn the ball over less. But as a rookie, Barrett averaged 14.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, so if his efficiency does improve and he shoots better than his 40.2/32/61.4 shooting split, there'll be plenty of room for improvement.
I know the narrative is that the Knicks have a lot of players who need minutes to see if they can be anything, but guys like Frank Ntilikina, Dennis Smith Jr., and Kevin Knox aren't going to see those minutes come at Barrett's expense. This team has to see if he can be the star on the next decent Knicks team.
I also think that Barrett's projected volume makes him a pretty safe pick, especially for fantasy managers who are punting on field goal percentage, as his struggles would be a lot less of an issue then.
