BALLER MOVE: Add and Start in All Leagues
Owned in 74% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: Okay I know it's a little bit of a stretch to call him a waiver wire pickup at this point, but how is Ronnie Hillman still only owned in 74% of leagues? That's just crazy. So out of principle I'm going to write about him now, a player who was considered one of the potential sleepers for backup running backs heading into the season. With Montee Ball sidelined with a groin injury, Ronnie Hillman has been getting the bulk of the workload out of the backfield for Denver, and has been spectacular for fantasy owners. In four games as the primary back, the 23-year-old has rushed for 347 yards on 73 attempts, crossing the goal line twice. In two of those four games, Hillman has broken the 100-yard threshold. He has also become an integral part of Peyton Manning's lethal passing attack, as the flat is often left open as a result of the Broncos receivers doing damage upfield.
It is hard to know what will become of Denver's running backs corps once Ball returns, but it's tough to imagine Ball getting his job back since he was largely ineffective before getting injured. Hillman should absolutely be owned in more than 74% of leagues and is a must-start in all leagues, each and every week. If he's somehow still available in your league, stop what you're doing now and go add him immediately. And for those in deeper leagues, my apologies for recommending someone so obviously and viable for fantasy football. This guy is a legit breakout running back right now.
