The Kansas City Royals have been in talks with the Cincinnati Reds for Todd Frazier, according to ESPN.com.
The third baseman would likely move to left field as Alex Gordon’s replacement if the defending World Series champions could pull off the trade because Mike Moustakas will be holding down third in 2016. The Reds have been really active in moving Frazier this off-season during a part of their rebuilding process.

The 29-year-old batted .255 this season with 35 HR and 89 RBI. Frazier. It was a down year this past season. He’s made two straight All-Star teams and would be a great replacement for Gordon. He struck out 137 times this season, which isn’t terrible compared to the rest of the Kansas City team that barely struck out during the postseason run in October.
Frazier is owed $7.5 million in 2016 with one more year of arbitration in 2017.
