The Kansas City Royals will throw out the same lineup they used for Game 1 of the World Series as they host the New York Mets for Game 2 on Wednesday.
The Royals racked up 11 hits through 14 innings and won 5-4 in a dramatic Game 1 on Tuesday. It wasn’t their best offensive display but they were able to comeback twice and win the game in the bottom of the 14th to take a 1-0 series lead.

Alcides Escobar picked up right where he left off as the ALCS MVP with a leadoff in-the-park home run in the bottom of the first. It was the only hit for the shortstop but he made the most out of a ball that could have been caught in the left field gap.
Ben Zobrist delivered three hits right behind Escobar. Two of his hits came in extra innings. He will bat in the same spot while Kendrys Morales will be back as the DH after being removed for a pinch-runner prior to extra innings.
Alex Gordon will not move up in the lineup after delivering the game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth inning.
