ANALYSIS: Royce O'Neale has seen his role expand consistently over the last four years with the Utah Jazz, and at 32.4 minutes per game, he ranks second behind only Donovan Mitchell on the team, retaining the edge over other Utah forwards Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles in the rotation. O'Neale has been producing career-high figures of 7.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, with 2.4 assists and 1.7 three-pointers at a much-improved 44% success rate.
The volume isn't staggering, but he has been performing with dialed-in efficiency on offense, netting a .630 effective field goal rate and .653 true shooting percentage, and with his deadeye accuracy from deep, he is strongly capitalizing on the shots he is getting alongside other Jazz players who command the majority of chances. While the primary reason he is seeing the floor so much is his defensive capabilities, those have yet to manifest into any considerable statistical contribution. However, with his production in points, rebounding, and three-pointers, and the reliability of his playing time, Royce O'Neale remains a rock-solid option in leagues of twelve teams or more.
