BALLER MOVE: Target ~110 (Current ADP 131, WR49)
ANALYSIS: Rueben Randle has always been a talent that the Giants liked, hence why they drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2012 draft. The main thing standing in Randle's way of being a high impact performer has seemed to be that Eli Manning has had the ability to target Victor Cruz or Hakeem Nicks, and preferred to target them over him. This has left Randle as nothing more than a fringe WR3 the past two years, although last year we did start to see signs of a breakout. In 2013 despite Eli's offensive struggles, Randle totaled 41 receptions, 611 receiving yards, 14.9 yards per reception, and 6 touchdowns. Those numbers were good enough to make him the 47th most valuable WR last year.
So why am I recommending Randle as a sleeper? Because Hakeem Nicks has left the Giants to join the Colts. Now the Giants also have Jerrel Jernigan who had a big end of the year last year, and recently drafted Odell Beckham Jr to compete with Randle. However, based on his use last year I would expect Randle to get every opportunity to be the Giants WR2. The Giants improved their O-line greatly during the off-season and I expect Eli to get back on track. Even with Cruz taking a large number of the targets, Eli is a good enough quarterback in a normal year to make two wide receivers fantasy relevant. I believe Randle could be a decent play at WR2 this year, or at the very least a high end WR3 and that's why I recommend him a bit higher than expert rankings do.
