Ryan McMahon (1B/2B/3B, COL) - Week 19 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 31% of leagues

ANALYSIS: Having finally gotten a proper chance for everyday at-bats, Colorado infielder Ryan McMahon accounted himself fine in his 265 plate appearances before the All-Star break, hitting seven home runs with 35 RBI and 36 runs scored while slashing .256/.332/.399. But since the midseason festivities, McMahon has settled in at second base for the Rockies and has been tearing the cover off the ball, with a .324 AVG, 1.000 OPS, and 46.8% hard-hit rate in his last 76 plate appearances.

It'll be a homestand for the Rockies in Week 19, with Houston coming in for two games before taking on San Diego for four. A lefthander with mostly reverse splits, McMahon being set up to face right-handers in all six games isn't really an advantage, but McMahon is still at least average against righties, with a .263 AVG and .317 wOBA in 235 PA against them in 2019.

Currently playing the best baseball of his young career and with six games in the thin air of Coors in the week ahead, McMahon and his triple-eligibility won't be available in 70% of leagues for long.
