BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Mixed Leagues, NL-Only Leagues
OWNED IN: 25% Fleaflicker
ANALYSIS: Ryan Schimpf’s nine home runs over the last month are the most in MLB (tied with Mark Trumbo, who last weekend became the first player to reach the 30-homer plateau in 2016). The 28-year-old had always shown impressive pop in the minors, and that’s translating well in his first taste of big-league action. He’s batting only .237, but a healthy walk rate has him sitting on a .348 OBP. Long term, he would still seem to profile as a utility guy more than a starter. For the moment, though, he’s producing, and he’s eligible at both second and third base.
