You can't get off to a much better start to your time as the interim head coach than Dan Campbell has. In fact, he's making a pretty strong argument for why he should become the Miami Dolphins' full-time coach. In Miami's second victory in a row, which pushed them to 3-3, they absolutely lit up the Houston Texans. Before the Texans could even blink they were down 41-0 against the Dolphins, who were led by a ridiculous start from both Ryan Tannehill and Lamar Miller.
Tannehill's start was actually record-breakingly good. After completing 18 of 19 passes for 282 yards and four touchdowns, FOX Sports reported that Tannehill actually broke the record for consecutive pass completions with 25, dating back to last week against the Tennessee Titans. It didn't stop there either, as Tannehill was also the first player in 15 years to throw three touchdown passes of 50 or more yards in a half, according to the same FOX Sports story. Tannehill was money, but pass catchers Jarvis Landry (five catches, 83 yards, two touchdowns), Rishard Matthews (three catches, 75 yards, one touchdown) and even Miller (three catches, 61 yards, one touchdown) helped to make his life even easier.
Miller was just as explosive, if not more so. Just a week after finally topping the 100-yard mark for the first time in 2015, he nearly doubled that on the ground in Week 7. The speedy running back, who had been criminally underutilized in the Joe Philbin regime, rushed 14 times for 175 yards and a touchdown while also being a force in the receiving game. Miller and Tannehill paired together have helped repair any hopes of a postseason berth in Miami, but maybe the bulk of the credit should go to their interim head coach.
From a fantasy perspective, it seems that both Tannehill and Miller are going to be ranked highly on a weekly basis moving forward. Barring some type of an injury or an absolutely terrible matchup, expect to plant these two in your lineups and leave them there.
