BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues, NL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: At 36 years old, Ryan Vogelsong may not have many years left. As for right now, though, he is still pretty effective, both as a real life pitcher and a fantasy option. Despite getting off to a rough start, Vogelsong had found himself sitting at a respectable 3.39 ERA after going into Cincinnati on June 5 and recording a regular season career-high nine K. Those in deeper leagues looking for starting pitcher sleepers to bolster their strikeouts off the waiver wire could do worse. He has struggled a bit in his two most recent outings, but with six QS in his last 10 GS, there is a lot to like about what Vogelsong can bring to the table. Given his abysmal 5.73 ERA in 2013 and his inconsistency so far this year, it's difficult to know what to expect from Vogelsong going forward, especially when you consider he was out of baseball from 2007-2010. Still, 26% owned in Yahoo! leagues is far too low for someone with 43 K and only 10 BB in his last 43.1 IP. He has value in deeper leagues and NL-Only leagues due to, at the very least, his strikeout total and ability to pick up wins on a terrific San Francisco squad.
