New York Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia is checking himself into an alcohol rehab facility and will not be available for the postseason.
This comes as shocking news since the postseason begins Tuesday for the Yankees when they host the Houston Astros in the Wild Card game. The winner will advance to the ALDS against the Kansas City Royals. The team's rotation concerns should they advance to the ALDS just got more confusing. Sabathia didn’t have a memorable start to the season but was instrumental to their success down the stretch with a 2.25 ERA in four September starts.

"It hurts me deeply to do this now, but I owe it to myself and to my family," the 35-year-old left-hander said in a written statement.
Sabathia finished the season with a 6-10 record with 4.73 ERA and 1.42 WHIP.
