ANALYSIS: Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Seth Curry is quietly making some noise this season. The Duke product is nearly averaging a career-high 11.5 points per game, while playing 23.6 minutes per game. Curry has experienced the most success with Dallas in his four-year career, and his second stint with the team has been one of the most successful of his career.
The 29-year-old has been on a scoring streak ever since Jan. 31, putting up at least 15 points in six consecutive games while playing at least 25 minutes per game in five of those six contests. This includes a 26-point outburst on Feb. 8 against the Hornets. His recent point totals make him an effective fantasy pickup now. The most encouraging parts during this hot streak is that Curry has shot over 70 percent from the field in the last three games, and at least 75 percent from three-point range in two of the past three games.
Though not a starter and having only started 13 of the 51 games he has played this season, the veteran is a valuable bench piece on this team and thus merits fantasy value. With the way the shooting guard has been playing as of late, you could do worse than snag the brother of guard Stephen Curry.
