BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Seth Smith deserves an award nearly halfway into the season: he's the only Padre batter with a heart beat. Smith is having a solid season which is not very shocking, as he was a decent player in Oakland, where many players seem to flourish but don't get much hype. In a lineup where the majority of the batters are batting below .250 Smith is batting .285 with an OBP of .391 which is very good. Considering half his ABs come in Petco park, you have to consider Smith' season quite good, but in the fantasy spectrum eight homeruns and 24 RBIs are not something you MUST have. I like Smith if you are in a deeper league and you can adjust your lineup daily ,as Smith owns RHP (.295 / .391 / .525) but doesn't even play against LHP. He will go on hot stretches facing righties where you should plug him into your lineup as you see fit, but with the depth in the outfield most fantasy owners will not need to rely on Seth Smith.
