After a season in which Tom Brady threw for more than 5,300 yards and 43 passing touchdowns, it is remarkable to think we cannot trust him. He is clearly the best player in the NFL, and he has not diminished one iota. However, this is something we need to speak about.
First, Brady decided to retire. A retirement that lasted for 41 days. It was just an early Lent? I do not know.
After coming back, he was on a mission to get players in to help him win another Super Bowl. This included standing on a table for Leonard Fournette. A stance that garnered Fournette a new $7 million contract. He was unable to convince Rob Gronkowski to return, at least for the start of the season. Wait until December, I am sure he will be there. Even without Gronk, this is a loaded offense.

Tom Brady's Fantasy Football Weapons
With Mike Evans and the healing Chris Godwin alongside incoming Russell Gage and Julio Jones, the shelves are stocked with talent at the wide receiver position. With Fournette and incoming rookie Rachaad White in the backfield, Brady has the weapons needed to make another run. Especially in a weak division. What we care about is fantasy. So, can we trust Brady here?
The simple answer is yes. Even though he already retired once and took a week off for personal reasons, when Brady is there, he is locked in. This will not change. If it ever does, he will hang it up. Brady is too competitive to hang on.
Mike Evans has still never had a season in which he did not gain more than 1,000 receiving yards. Chris Godwin may not be ready for Week 1, but the additions of Gage and Jones will allow him to make sure his health is right before stepping foot on the playing field.
Jones is a shell of himself, but even a shell of himself is better than 80% of the rest of the league. Having him as the second or third option is dangerous. His size and speed combination will make him an ample target for Brady. Gage can provide speed and a downfield threat with the ability to break away after catching the ball.
Tom Brady's Fantasy Football Outlook For 2022
All these weapons lead to one conclusion. Tom Brady is a good fantasy option for 2022. He might not get up to the level of a Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen, but in the middle rounds, around others like Aaron Rodgers and Kirk Cousins, he is a great pick to sure up the position.
