BALLER MOVE: Short Term Add

ANALYSIS: Spencer Hawes has gotten extended minutes lately with Al Jefferson and Cody Zeller hurting right now, and the 27 year old has been doing pretty well. On Wednesday, Hawes put up nine points, with four rebounds, two assists and two makes from downtown. It's not a great follow-up to his previous outing, but for a big man Hawes has nice versatility. On Monday Hawes scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds and hit four shots from beyond the arc.
He's played over 25 minutes in each of the last five games and should continue to see significant court time until his frontcourt mates are healthy. Obviously his long term value isn't very high, but in the short term, he can contribute. A big man who can shoot from range, give solid rebounding, and sprinkle in some assists is nice for as long as he gets run.
