ANALYSIS: This is the time of the year where the waiver wire can really make a difference for your fantasy football teams. With the playoffs just around the corner, it’s time to start anticipating potential teams who may be either sitting their starters or locking down that one handcuff who could end up being huge if, god forbid, a starter were to go down. Spencer Ware is my favorite one to grab right now just for that reason.

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently on top of the AFC West at 8-1. They do have a few tough games coming up including one with the Rams and one against the Ravens. But they also play the Raiders twice yet and the Cardinals once. Needless to say, they should stay atop that division and there’s a chance some starters like Kareem Hunt may sit. Insert Spencer Ware. He would come in as an immediate must-start and borderline RB1; getting just one week out of an RB1 off the waiver wire alone can be worth it. Not to mention, if something were to happen to Hunt, Ware would be someone that could be a potential game-changer for your fantasy football team during the playoffs.
