Last week in Fontana Kyle Busch claimed his 200th career victory taking him to a new level on his way to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Busch won every stage of the Auto Club 400 and overcame a pit road speeding penalty through the process. As much of a love hate relationship fans have with Rowdy we can no longer deny that he IS that dude when it comes to gripping the wood grain.
Now that the western run is over and we are back to the heartland of the sport, we head to Martinsville Speedway in Virginia. Fans and drivers refer to this half mile oval as “The Paperclip” and like most racing lovers I’m a big fan of short track racing. This is where skill outweighs speed and we get to see a true game of chess in driving form.
Kyle Busch has one of the best records here in years past (surprise surprise) and he’ll be competing to get his third win in a row for the 2019 season on Sunday. I’m a fan of the play with him this week but there are some cheaper options to look out for when making your lineups. I have a feeling a certain young driver has what it takes to put a new grandfather clock in his living room.

DFS Lineup Picks - DraftKings, FanDuel
Austin Dillon #3 (DraftKings $7,300 | FanDuel $7,700)
Austin Dillon is one of the best value plays this week hands down. In the second practice Dillon finished fourth with teammate Daniel Hemric trailing two spots behind him. Although he had a bad qualifying speed of 95.569, it seems that his team figured something out to allow him to get to where he got. Dillon should create big fantasy points come race day.
Chase Elliott #9 (DraftKings $8,200 | FanDuel $11,900 )
The young gun prodigy hasn't been used heavily in any of my lineups thus far but i'm high on Chase Elliott this week. Elliott finished both practices and qualifying inside the top 10 which lets you know that his Hendrick Motorsports Chevy is ready for a game of whits on the track. Keep a close eye out for Elliott to be one of the top finishers on Sunday.
Denny Hamlin #11 (DraftKings $9,400 | FanDuel $13,000)
Denny Hamlin is arguably one victory at Martinsville away from becoming a master of the track. Over the years Hamlin has bagged 5 wins at NASCAR's oldest track against some of the goats. Hamlin being under $10,000 on Draft Kings is a low key insult in my opinion but hey, its good for us fantasy players. This week Sean Engel has him finishing second in his STP 500 Driver Rankings. Hamlin had a speed of 97.362 when qualifying and a top 10 in the first practice.
Brad Keselowski #2 (DraftKings $12,400 | FanDuel $13,700)
Brad K is a sure lock for this race in your DFS lineups. In the past six races at Martinsville, Keselowski hasn't finished outside of the top 10. His Team Penske car locked in a qualifying speed of 97.458 and two spots behind teammate Joey Logano who took the pole. Fords have been dominant thus far in 2019 but this race comes down to driver experience and that's something Keselowski has shown when running the paperclip.
