Svi Mykhailiuk (SG, DET): Week 15 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add In 12-Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 14% of leagues

ANALYSIS: Talk about a walking bucket. Who would have thought? The Pistons are on the verge of a full rebuilding effort and Svi might be one of the key pieces going forward. At least that is what he's showing these days at just 22 years of age. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk has played in every single Detroit game this season (42 of them), and it's been 14 games in a row already in which he has logged more than 24 minutes. In half of those 14, in fact, he went for runs of at least 30 minutes. And the playing time is only growing bigger!

Svi was a reserve during the first half of this half-season but he has been part of the Pistons starting lineup in 14 of their last 18 games, including the last three as of this writing. From Jan. 11 to Jan. 25, in eight matches, Svi has averaged 15.6 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.1 apg, and 0.9 spg as a do-it-all man of sorts. His three-point shooting has been incredible hitting an average of three long-range shots per game while shooting at a 53.6% clip from the floor.

Truth be told, someone with Svi's averages shouldn't be so little owned anywhere. His first half is hurting his overall numbers on the year, though, and that is keeping him a little under the wraps. You should take advantage of that given what he's done since entering 2020. We're talking about a guy with a paltry 14% own-rate that is putting up a virtual 15-3-2-1 line lately, something only 39 players in the NBA are doing, and all of them well recognizable. Add a potential sellout from Detroit approaching the deadline and you might score yourself a near-no. 1 player in his team for the sweet price of nothing.
