BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
OWNED IN: 3% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Heading into the 2019 season, the Buffalo Bills running backs were looking a bit confusing and was very much a running back by committee. With LeSean McCoy getting traded to the Chiefs, the Bills were left with Frank Gore, T.J. Yeldon, and rookie Devin Singletary things became a bit more clear. Singletary has been dealing with a hamstring injury and he missed Week 3. We saw Gore take over the lead running back role last week and put up a solid week for fantasy purposes. If Singletary misses more time, that's where Yeldon comes in.
During his time with the Jaguars, Yeldon was a very underrated pass-catching running back. Week 3 was the first week that Yeldon saw any sort of significant workload, where he played in 37% of the snaps, while in Week 1 he played just 3% of snaps and 7% of snaps in Week 2. He saw a jump in usage in Week 3, got eight carries for 30 yards and caught two of three passes for 19 yards. If anything were to happen to Gore or Singletary, Yeldon would immediately see a nice jump in usage. I expect him to be the Bills pass-catching option out of the backfield, giving him some decent upside in PPR formats. In your deeper leagues where the waiver wire is thin, Yeldon is worth stashing at the bottom of your roster.
