BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 7% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you happen to play in a deeper league, Ginn should be one of those guys that can provide you with solid weekly points no matter what. Now, adding Brees back to the equation, his value should only get higher. After posting similar back-to-back games of 6.8 fantasy points, this past weekend Ginn finished with virtually the same tally (6.2) on Brees’ comeback game. He was under-used by his season’s standards but that should improve going forward.
Ginn was able to catch his only two targets in Week 8 but he made the most of them by racking up 42 yards in those two actions. It is the first time since Week 5 that Ginn is targeted two times, having logged six and five targets in the past two games, so expect some positive regression there even when Alvin Kamara gets back.
The Saints are going on a bye for Week 9, so Ginn’s addition to your roster is more of a stash than another thing this week, but he’s one of the best possible ones considering what he has ahead of him. New Orleans won’t play another game for two weeks, Brees will be at more than 100% by then, and the Saints face Atlanta (fourth-worst team in points allowed to WRs), Tampa Bay (fifth-worst), Carolina (seventh-worst), and Atlanta again next. That is an incredibly long and easy streak of games where Ginn might become a game/league winner that clinches you the playoffs. Take advantage of the bye and pick Ginn up while he still is off most people’s radars.
