BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 37% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez has hits in three of his last four games and now has a .283 batting average in June. He has also scored a run in three of his last six games and is up to 12 extra base hits and 13 runs scored this month. Hernandez has found a spot at the top of the Blue Jays lineup (normally hitting first or second) and has a .333 OBP this month.
The slugging 25-year-old has five home runs this month, posting a .543 slugging percentage and .261 isolated power at the top of the Toronto lineup. He has struck out far too much (32.3%), but that is acceptable when you only have a 11.7% soft hit ball rate for the month like Hernandez does. Hernandez has only hit 33% ground balls in June and his 38.3% hard hit ball rate has led to good results.
Fantasy owners would hope that Hernandez does better in the way of steals (0-for-2 this month), as Hernandez is projected to be a double digit steal player. If the speed shows up, this could be a player to watch as a OF3 for the remainder of the season. As of now, Hernandez is a good player to grab in deeper leagues.
