BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: I don't think I'm alone in thinking that Terrence Ross might be one if not the best potential veteran moved ahead of the trade deadline. The thing with Ross is that he's been in Orlando for so long (this is his sixth season there; he got acquired in mid-2017) that most folks have just forgotten about him. That said, Ross has aged but he's also stayed as good as he ever was in his Raptors days, which is no joke.
Long gone are the days of Starter Ross. He is now a pine-rider and a heater off the bench as part of the Magic's second unit. Ross' career advanced metrics have been steady and even improved to highs in the past four seasons, with an average 14 PER in that span and some 8.8 WS contribution to Orlando--not that the Magic want any winning, though. That's why it's time for Ross and Orlando to part ways, and judging by Ross' 2022 numbers there would make a lot of sense for more than one or two contenders to move picks/young guys in exchange for the veteran guard.
Ross is just automatic at dropping buckets. He's scored 10+ points in his last 11 games played and in 13 of his past 14 going all the way back to Dec. 1. From that day on, his average line reads 17+ PPG, 4+RPG, 2.5+ APG, and 1.1 stocks a game. After starting the year going through some shooting pains, Ross is now hitting them from the field at a 44.7% clip on a bulky 13+ FGA diet. The Magic second unit, on offense, is basically Ross plus a bunch of warm bodies--Ross is logging a 25% usage rate in the past 14 games, almost 26% in January. Tons of talk about Eric Gordon, Thaddeus Young, and whatnot when it comes to vets possibly traded before Feb. 10, but let me tell you Ross is the man.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
