ANALYSIS: Tim Anderson is finally starting to produce as fantasy owners had hoped when he was called up last season. In May, Anderson hit .316 and slugged .490 by increasing his hard contact rate to 37.8%. He is also up to six home runs already, which is quickly approaching last year's career-high total of nine, even in the minors. The power may not stick, unless he's one of those players that waits until he reaches the bigs to full develop. The average should remain high, however, as Anderson hit over .300 between Double-A and Triple-A each of the last three seasons.

The only thing that's missing is the speed, surprisingly. Anderson 49 bags in 2015, leading some to label him a speed prospect. He has just three steals this season and hasn't attempted any more than that. That doesn't figure to change, as the White Sox don't have a single player over five steals and don't give the green light to any of their players. If you're expecting a breakout in terms of power or speed, you may be disappointed. If you can live with Anderson as a high-average guy who'll produce modestly in the run and RBI categories, you can find a use for him as a middle infielder in leagues of at least 12 teams.
