ANALYSIS: The highest of Tim Patrick's hype-szn came in Week 4 when we finished as the WR7 to the tune of 23.3 fantasy points in a great game against the stupidly-bad Jets. After putting up a dud against Kansas City in Week 7, though, it all looked like it was over until Patrick boosted his profile a bit this past Sunday once more.
Patrick saw 9 targets against Atlanta and that is the most he's gotten all year. He caught four of them for only 29 yards, but found paydirt and got his third TD of the season. Patrick's 84% snap share only trailed Jerry Jeudy's 85% (one fewer snap) this weekend, but Patrick has the season-edge with a 78% share over Jeudy's 72.9% and Noah Fant's 72.3%. Patrick also leads all Broncos in receiving touchdowns and is second to Jeudy in yards (383) over the year.
This week, I'm recommending QB Drew Lock as another great WW target for virtually every GM out there. Patrick, while not the most talented wideout of the team (that's Courtland Sutton, out for the year; or Jerry Jeudy among active players), has been the one most-used by Denver on offense and is averaging 11.9 PPR per game.
Since Week 3 included, Patrick only has one game below 12.9 PPR points, and he's finished in the WR1 and WR2 realm once, and as a WR3 two more times. He's a more than palatable weekly FLEX play in deeper leagues with upside for WR2 points. In the other two games, Patrick was targeted 7+ times he finished with 113 yards and a TD, and with 101 yards. That's more Patrick than this past Sunday's 9-target, 29-yard Patrick.
