If you plan on starting a Tennessee Titans running back in your fantasy football lineups for Week 5, good luck guessing which guy will get the bulk of the carries. And don't expect head coach Ken Whisenhunt to make things easy for you. He recently told ESPN that he "really don't care" which running back gets the football.
"I'm just happy that we're more effective running the football. That to me is the first step. All that about if it's one back or it's different guys," Whisenhunt said.
Heading into the season it was believed that Bishop Sankey would split carries with rookie David Cobb. Cobb, however, was placed on Injured Reserve (designated for return) with a calf injury, which made us believe that Sankey would become the team's primary back. That hasn't been the case.
In addition to Sankey, the team has used Dexter McCluster, Terrance West and Antonio Andrews.
I would avoid starting any Titans running back if possible. McCluster is actually probably the safest option, especially in PPR leagues, because he is the team's best receiving back.
