NHL DFS Goalies
Louis Domingue- DK $7.7K || FD $7.4K
Opponent - New York Rangers
The home crowd is always such an intriguing concept during the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs and we are going to ride that narrative against the Blue shirts. Both the starter and backup for the Pittsburgh Penguins are out with injuries, leaving very few options for management to play around with. Please welcome to the stage, Louis Domingue. The netminder has had previous stints in the NHL and AHL and the Penguins picked up him as an insurance play for that very reason. Surprisingly enough, he has played well in his four appearances for the Penguins this year with the worst game coming on Thursday where he posted a 0.875 save percentage. However, he still posted double-digit fantasy points, something he has done in each appearance. This is a floor play with a great ceiling target if he wins.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Kuemper (DK $8.3K || FD $8.6K), Bobrovsky (DK $7.9K || FD $8.2K)
NHL DFS Centers
Nathan MacKinnon-DK $9.2K || FD $10.2K
Opponent - Nashville Predators
MacKinnon is proving exactly why the Predators are nothing but a mirage at best. They keep somehow making it into the playoffs and then they get bounced right back out. However, nobody on the Predators can stop MacKinnon and more so the quick and efficient Avalanche offense. If the top-line pivot can continue scoring at these rates all playoffs, he could be bound to set a few records. In his first two games, he has 3 goals, 1 assist and 14 shots.
Jamie Benn- DK $3.3K || FD $4.6K
Opponent - Calgary Flames
Benn has barely produced all season, however, he may finally be in a more permanent role to build chemistry. The goal-scoring veteran is back to anchoring the third line for the Stars and he is on the second power-play unit as well. He is also in a favorable line matchup against Calgary’s second and third lines. Thanks to his cost-efficient salary, he does not need to do much to provide value either. In the last two games, he has 5 shots and 1 blocked shot.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Barkov (DK $7.4K || FD $9.1K), Lindholm (DK $6.1K || FD $7.4K), Kuznetsov (DK $4.9K || FD $6.8K), Bennett (DK $4.6K || FD $6.3K), Compher (DK $2.8K || FD $4.4K)
NHL DFS Wings
Gabriel Landeskog- DK $5.6K || FD $7.8K
Opponent - Nashville Predators
Surprisingly enough, Landeskog did not produce any peripherals in his second game back from injury. However, that should change in Game 3 with another appearance under his belt. Over his first two games, he has 1 goal, 1 assist and 7 shots. Nashville has not changed since their first two games and it should be another goal fest with a possible ceiling game for an affordable winger.
Kasperi Kapanen- DK $2.7K || FD $3.7K
Opponent - New York Rangers
This is most likely Kapanen’s last chance to shine and he needs to make every minute worth it. Due to injuries all over the board for the Penguins, Kapanen finds himself in a top-six role again with teammate Evgeni Malkin. In Kapanen’s first two games since the promotion, he has 1 assist and 12 shots. Those numbers are not bad for a player whose salary is near the bottom of the player pool. This is yet another shot at a ceiling game that will make enough room to build a Panthers or Avalanche stack.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Kreider (DK $6.2K || FD $8.3K), Tkachuk (DK $5.8K || FD $8.4K), Rust (DK $5.1K || FD $7.5K), Copp (DK $4.8K || FD $5.8K), Giroux (DK $4.3K || FD $6.3K)
NHL DFS Defensemen
Roman Josi- DK $7.9K || FD $7.8K
Opponent - Colorado Avalanche
If you are making Predators stacks or you are going against the grain with ownership, Josi is the perfect player to add. The defenseman is doing everything he possibly can on the ice to keep the Predators in the series and it is generating a mass amount of peripherals for Josi. Through his first two games, he has 1 assist, 9 shots and 6 blocked shots. Although you are paying a premium, he is well worth the spend.
Mike Matheson- DK $3.2K || FD $4.2K
Opponent - New York Rangers
Matheson is back for more action with the Penguins. The defenseman though has since been promoted to the top-pairing after teammate Brian Dumoulin got hurt. In the first two games of the series, Matheson has 1 assist, 4 shots and 3 blocked shots. He will only continue to add peripherals every game, but the points come as a bonus.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Ekblad (DK $6.2K || FD $6.5K), Carlson (DK $5.5K || FD $6.5K), Hanifin (DK $4.8K || FD $5.2K), Ekholm (DK $4.1K || FD $4.7K), Byram (DK $2.7K || FD $4.4K)
