BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 49% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: You guys probably think I'm losing it when I recommend Tony Allen as a pickup, but hear me out. The Grizzlies are hurting...literally. The injury bug has bitten them badly and they're turning over every stone to find some offense. Enter defensive specialist Tony Allen. Defense is still his specialty, but he's shown he can pack an offensive punch as well. After exploding for 26 points against the Cavs, Allen followed up with a 12 point performance against the Celtics.
He's rebounded well from a recent knee injury, and he will continue being an unlikely source of offense until the rest of the team gets healthy. His offense alone doesn't give him fantasy value though, it's the fact that he can contribute across the board. Steals are his biggest asset, but he can add middling (at best) rebounding and some minimal assists. He might not be worth adding in standard sized leagues, but in 12 team or deeper leagues he could be a serviceable addition for the home stretch.
