ANALYSIS: The Cowboys rookie running back, Tony Pollard has been quietly very efficient in his rookie campaign. Whenever a running back gets drafted as the backup to someone as talented and involved with an offense as Ezekiel Elliott, it can be tough to become relevant especially for fantasy purposes. Pollard has been very efficient with his carriers, averaging 4.89 YPC on 37 carries this year, rushing for one touchdown and 103 yards in Week 3 against the Dolphins. It’s also worth noting that he’s seen four targets this year and caught all of them.
Pollard hasn’t been involved enough to be relevant for fantasy football purposes, but if you can afford the roster spot, he’s worth stashing. Even if you don’t own Elliott, he’s worth stashing if possible. We all know just how valuable a handcuff can be if something were to happen to the starter. We also all know just how good the Cowboys offensive line is, even after losing some key pieces this past off-season.
