Top Hitter Waiver Wire Streamers for Week 15

Whether it’s because of an injury or poor performance, there are always opportunities to stream players off the waiver wire. The best players to stream are those who are under-owned and face appealing match-ups for the upcoming week.

Here are five players who are readily available in Fleaflicker leagues and have attractive match-ups during the 15th week of the season.

Top Hitter Streamers for Week 15

Cameron Maybin (DET, OF) - 47% Fleaflicker

Maybin appeared on this list two weeks ago, and although he has maintained an absurd stat line, his ownership has only increased by 6%. The 29-year-old is slashing .341/.402/.413 with two homers and 10 steals in 200 plate appearances. He is hitting a solid .320 vs. righties and an insane .386 against lefties. Plus, he owns .437/.500/.529 line at home.

Over the next few days, the Tigers will host the Royals for three games. On the bump for Kansas City will be Ian Kennedy (5.36 ERA since start of June), Danny Duffy and Yordano Ventura (5.15 ERA). There is nothing appealing about facing Duffy except for the fact that he is tougher in lefties than righties, but the other two guys offer enticing match-ups.

Jose Reyes (3B/SS, NYM) - 45% Fleaflicker

Reyes is back in Flushing, and has assumed what appears to be a full-time role at third base. He is batting .250/.308/.708 with three homers in just 26 plate appearances, but at age 33, it wouldn’t be a shock to see him put together a strong rest of the season.

The Mets begin the second half against three Phillies right-handers— Jeremy Hellickson, Jerad Eickhoff and Zach Eflin. All three pitchers are hovering around a 4.00 ERA, but Hellickson hasn’t posted an ERA below 4.00 since 2012, and Eickhoff and Eflin combine for fewer than 200 innings in their careers. Plus, Reyes is hitting .381/.409/.571 lifetime with a homer and four RBI vs. Hellickson.

Tyler Naquin (CLE, OF) - 11% Fleaflicker

Naquin’s surprising demotion in mid-May awoken something in the 25-year-old. He returned on June 2 and slashed .338/.434/.785 over the next month. He is now hitting .314/.374/.591 with nine homers, three steals, 26 R and 22 RBI over 176 plate appearances on the year. Naquin has been particularly successful against right-handed pitching— .324/.382/.604 with all nine of his homers.

In the shortened Week 15, Naquin and the Indians will travel to Minnesota to face Ervin Santana (4.06 ERA), Tyler Duffey (5.20) and Kyle Gibson (5.02)— all righties. He is 6-for-13 with five runs scored this season against the Twins, and could add to that stat line this weekend.
