Travis d'Arnaud had his season cut short by injuries in 2015. Bad news for him, but good news for owners who can take advantage of any discount this might lead to in upcoming drafts. d'Arnaud finished with the third highest OPS among qualified catchers, behind Buster Posey, and Kyle Schwarber. In 239 ABs, d'Arnaud recorded 64 hits, 12 homers, 41 RBI and hit for a .268 average. Considering he only played in 67 games, that's pretty good. So what can he bring to table if he's completely healthy?
I see d'Arnaud as a potential top five catcher in 2016. He has 20+ home run potential and the lineup in front of him is pretty solid now with the return of Cespedes. d'Arnaud seems like a safe bet for around a .265 average, 20 homers, and around 65-70 RBI. If you can't get the likes of Posey or Schwarber, you should still feel very good about having d'Arnaud as your fantasy catcher.
