BALLER MOVE: Add in 2-Catcher Leagues
ANALYSIS: Travis d'Arnaud of the New York Mets had an abysmal season up until June when the team decided to demote him to AAA Las Vegas. While in Las Vegas, he got some of his swagger back and began raking. Granted, Las Vegas is a hitter's league, but when your hitting becomes an issue that is as much mental as it is physical - so any kind of success is great. Since returning to the big leagues on June 24th, d'Arnaud has recorded at least a hit in his first 7 games, including a homer in his first game back and a couple of doubles too. The power he was billed to have a few years back was expected to get lost in Citi Field, but if he can develop a decent stroke to keep getting some doubles, he could turn into a productive catcher in two-catcher leagues. Going forward, I need to see more of d'Arnaud to make him a catcher I'd roll with everyday, but he is a solid injury replacement or a 2nd catcher until he develops a little more.
