ANALYSIS: Travis Jankowski may not have been in the big leagues for the whole season, but he certainly has been running quick enough to make up for lost ground. He is currently tied for sixth in the MLB with Jose Altuve in stolen bases with 26 total. Here is the key though - Jankowski has just 213 AB in 2016. For Altuve and the other five players who have stolen more bases, they average 412 AB at this point in the season. At his current pace, if Jankowski had taken 412 AB this season, he would currently have 50 steals. He has been successful in about 79% of his steal attempts. In June and July when he produced 14 steals in 112 AB, Jankowski was horrible when batting with OPS of just .623 and .611. However in 59 August AB, he has been in a solid groove with a .373 BA, .456 OBP, and a 13% walk rate. Jankowski used to be a one-trick pony, while running like a thoroughbred. Now that he is hitting for contact and walking, his base running isn't so one dimensional.
