BALLER MOVE: Target in Last Rounds of Deep Drafts / Grab Off Waiver Wire (Current ADP: Undrafted)
ANALYSIS: The TE position is extremely shallow, meaning a lower tier TE won't need to do much to be worth of playing time on a fantasy squad. That makes Travis Kelce an interesting option. With Kansas City as weak as they are at the WR position, Kelce could be set for a bigger role than most anticipated prior to the preseason. At 6'6'" and 260 lbs., Kelce is a big guy with soft hands that could make an impact in the anemic passing offense. Even with Fasano healthy, expect Kelce to make an impact as he's a much higher upside offensive player. Coming off of an injury last season, KC can run more two tight end sets with Kelce once again playing at full speed. It would benefit Kansas City to run sets like that as well, as Jamal Charles could always use another blocker. While Kelce missed a lot of time due to injuries, he's been impressing in training camp thus far, and you will have plenty of time to see his skill set in preseason action. In his college career, Kelce put up 875 YDs on 59 REC over the course of his three seasons in Cincinati, averaging 14.8 YDS/REC and he totalled 10 TD. College is definitely not the NFL, but I think you can look for Kelce to be a solid TE2 option as his upside continues to get larger as preseason begins - he definitely has the potential to out produce the last few TEs currently being taken in your drafts.
