ANALYSIS: After usurping the starting job from Kung Fu Panda, Travis Shaw continues to hit. Shaw has hit safely in 10 of the last 11 games and is hitting .333 on the season. His BABIP is a lofty .435 so it indicates the average will come back down soon enough. However, there's no reason to think Shaw won't remain productive in a potent Boston lineup. The one area in which Shaw has disappointed so far is power. He only has one homer on the season after drilling 13 in less than half a season's worth of AB.
He has nine RBI and seven runs scored though so, as I mentioned above, the lineup will boost his value. The home park should help too as Shaw should be able to hit a few around the Pesky Pole. He'll need to pick up the pace though if he is to reach 15-20 homers. I'd like him more as a backup fantasy CI than a starting third or first baseman, but that obviously depends on league size and roster composition.
