BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues
OWNED IN: 20% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Last year, Trent Grisham spent most of his time in the Minor Leagues, making him a somewhat unknown commodity. Throughout stops between Double-A and Triple-A for the Brewers' organization, he accumulated 26 HRs, 71 runs, and 71 RBI, while also stealing 12 bases in only 97 games. He also showcased an above-average eye by walking over 10% of the time at both levels. This production got him called up to the Major League squad.
In 51 big league games, Grisham put up 6 HRs, 24 runs, 24 RBI, and stole one base.
The talent level of Grisham caught the eye of the Padres during the offseason, when they acquired him via trade in November 2019. At the time, the Padres had a glut of outfielders, but have since traded away Manuel Margot, Hunter Renfroe, and Franchy Cordero to make way for the budding youngster.
Grisham is projected to bat second between some high-caliber talent, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado. There is plenty of skills and at-bats to make Grisham a great addition early in the 60-game sprint.
