ANALYSIS: When we make an ownership rate exception, you know something is going on. We normally hand out names owned in under-30% of leagues out there, but Troy Brown Jr. is someone to put your hands on as soon as you can before it's too late. Just peep at his last four games with the Wiz: 35 minutes in each of them, three triple-doubles, scoring outings of 15-plus points each, and between nine and 14 boards grabbed in those matches. Oh, and all of that coming off the bench and with a usage rate of under 20 percent.

Brown's minutes basically can't get higher even he was starting, but the fact that he's doing so much while riding the pine is incredible. The Wizards, somehow, are a fun team that is making things interesting with a roster full of strangers. Brown Jr.'s aforementioned performances have all come against moderately good teams (except his last one against Atlanta) in Denver, Boston, and Orlando.

Brown started to log heavy minutes on December 8th and hasn't looked back. He's playing much better as a sub than a starter (he did so earlier in the season). He's getting runs of around 31 minutes per in the last month and since December 23rd he's performed like a top-40 player in the whole NBA.
