Tyrod Taylor, Jameis Winston, Kirk Cousins All Sleeper Plays at Quarterback

We’re always looking for the best value in fantasy football. Daily fantasy is predicated on finding players that will provide more value than their listed salary. Injuries and byes will make you look to the less-owned names in hopes of saving your season in standard leagues. Three quarterbacks with very little hype behind them have great potential to put up big numbers this week and it’s time to examine them each.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is making his first start since Week 5 after dealing with a sprained MCL injury. The fanfare and fantasy love isn’t as overwhelming for Taylor’s return as it would be for Drew Brees, Andrew Luck or Aaron Rodgers. Guess what? Taylor is averaging more fantasy points per game than any of those three names! His 21.4 fantasy points per game is ranked fifth overall in the NFL this season. In a prior matchup with the Miami Dolphins this year, Taylor torched them with 277 passing yards and three touchdowns. The matchup is proven to be a very good one for his style of play. Bills head coach Rex Ryan has stated that Taylor is completely healthy. Fantasy owners should have no fear starting him this week.

Rookie Jameis Winston is coming off his two best performances of the season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With a matchup against the very weak New York Giants pass defense, Winston should continue his momentum on Sunday. The Giants have given up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins is expected to return and give Winston another dynamic weapon along with star wide receiver Mike Evans. Winston is a very interesting risky play in daily because his ownership will be very low and his potential is high.

The last sneaky quarterback play this week is Kirk Cousins of the Washington Redskins. By going with Cousins, you know you’re taking a risk by choosing a flat out bad quarterback on a terrible team against the New England Patriots. The best reasoning for a Cousins play is his team absolutely sucks. New England's offense is going to destroy Washington and should have a big lead by halftime. This means Washington will be forced to throw early and often to try to keep up with or catch up to the Patriots. Cousins could have as many throwing attempts as any quarterback this week and the New England pass defense is below average. Junk time fantasy points may give Cousins a massive statistical performance at a very cheap price.
