UCL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Real Madrid vs Chelsea
Chelsea (+115) return from Spain after a 1-1 draw in the first leg of this matchup and have the upper hand at home in this game. They beat Fulham 2-0 at home this weekend and were able to rest some key players for this game. Real Madrid also picked up a 2-0 win at home over the weekend. They're dealing with some uncertainties in their squad right now ahead of this big game. Chelsea has been pretty strong at home in the Premier League this season, and they'll head into this game with some confidence after a good result in the first leg. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Karim Benzema ($15) was a big part of a great duo I recommended in my article for the first leg of this matchup. He answered Chelsea's early goal with a goal of his own and finished with a solid 23 fantasy points in the first matchup. That goal brought his Champions League total up to a remarkable 71 all-time goals. I like him slightly less in this game than the first leg with an away matchup against a Chelsea defense that has been good at home in PL play where they only allow 0.94 goals per game at The Bridge. However, he still has the best odds to score in this game among starters at +160, and he's easily the most accomplished scorer in this game.
Christian Pulisic ($13) is going to be a very popular play on this slate after his goal and slate-high 31.6 fantasy point game. He's a solid play, but if he's going to be so high-owned, I'll pivot to Mason Mount ($11) for a few dollars cheaper. Mount has been one of Chelsea's best players all season long. He provided an assist for one of Chelsea's goals over the weekend, and always comes with great upside. He had a dud game in the first leg which should hopefully lower his ownership further.
Chelsea legend Eden Hazard ($11) has slowly been returning to fitness, and now he has a chance to do damage against his former team in one of the biggest games of the year. He played 24 minutes last week and got 72 minutes before getting subbed out on Saturday. He will likely be fit to start this game, but he's a little tough to recommend as a play with Toni Kroos ($10) available for cheaper. Kroos is a safer option on top of being cheaper.
Casemiro ($8) and N'Golo Kante ($5) remain two of my favorite value attackers as they were on the first slate. They're both too cheap for the floors that they bring with peripherals.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Eder Militao ($8) had a slate-changing fantasy performance in the first leg with 29.5 points. He probably will not provide an assist again, but he still accumulated 22.5 other points from peripherals in the game. Assuming this game is played in a similar style, Militao should score well again on Wednesday. Gamelog watchers will likely boost his ownership, though.
Sergio Ramos ($10) is a top-tier fantasy defender. This is a strong matchup for him defensive peripherals-wise, and he has some great goal upside. The biggest drawback with Ramos here is that he has not played a game in a month and a half. If he starts, he'll probably play the entire game. He'll instantly become one of the best defenders to play on the slate.
Antonio Rudiger ($9) has been in good form for Chelsea recently. He turned in a good game with 15.3 fantasy points last week and has similar potential on Wednesday. However, he got a nice price increase, so taking Andreas Christensen ($5) is a solid pivot for a whole $4 less.
