The New York Mets have added Juan Uribe to the World Series roster at the final minute.
The veteran third baseman is apparently healthy enough to be on the roster. Uribe is dealing with a bruised chest that he suffered on Sept. 25. He traveled with the team to Kansas City and he’s good to go for Game 1 against the Royals.
Uribe makes World Series roster. Matt Reynolds is out. #Mets

Uribe has two World Series rings when he was a big part of the Chicago White Sox and San Francisco Giants rosters. The 36-year-old will bring the experience of winning a title that only he has on the roster. He won’t start at DH in Game 1 but could be used as a pinch-hitter late in the game. He likely won’t play the field unless David Wright goes down with an injury.
Uribe has played in 44 postseason games and nine World Series games. Maybe he could provide good luck if anything.
Matt Reynolds has been removed from the roster but could be added back if Wilmer Flores gets injured.
