Juan Uribe is not expected to land on the New York Mets World Series roster next week.
The third baseman has missed the entire postseason due to a bruised chest that he suffered on Sept. 20. Uribe recently began baseball activities with the hopes of being healthy enough to make the World Series roster. There might not be enough time for him to come back.
Was told yesterday not to expect Juan Uribe to be activated for World Series.

A former World Series winner, Uribe would provide the experience of competing in a World Series that the Mets lack. He wouldn’t crack the starting lineup because of David Wright, but he could be a potential start at DH. His role would depend on who’s on the mound for either the Toronto Blue Jays or Kansas City Royals.
The 36-year-old has 15 years of MLB experience and was one of the reasons the Mets were able to turn around a mediocre offense into one of the better ones in the league. Uribe only had a .219 BA since being traded to the Mets, but has 6 HR and 20 RBI and is a great bat off the bench.
