BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues for ERA, WHIP Help
ANALYSIS: Wade Davis has a 0.69 ERA. Through 65.1 innings pitched. That is five earned runs, over the course of almost an entire year. His 0.81 WHIP, 13.22 K/9 ratio and 4.57 K/BB ratio are all significantly above-average, as well. In short, Davis is having a historically dominant season for a relief pitcher. A former starter, Davis' two best years, 2012 and 2014, have come with him pitching out of the bullpen. The 29-year-old may not be an exciting fantasy option, but for an owner in a deep league looking for help in the fantasy playoffs in the last couple weeks, Davis is a sure bet to improve your ERA and WHIP, and is especially valuable in a head-to-head categories league. Owners in the 54% of Yahoo! leagues where Davis is still unowned may want to look towards the Royals' setup man for some extra help as they try to win their league's playoffs.
