ANALYSIS: It's yet another bye week crunch in Week 10 and most of us are scraping the bottom of the waiver wire barrel for a nice fill-in defense. The good news is that the Green Bay Packers are very lowly owned coming in at a meager 36% in Fleaflicker fantasy football leagues.
Although the Packers are middle of the road in team defense, they are facing off against the Chicago Bears who have been bleeding out a healthy 8.5 fantasy points per game to opposing defenses. This contest will be played at home and the Packers seem to own Jay Cutler historically as he comes in with a 67.0 QB rating, and a 13/19 touchdown to interception ratio over nine games played against Green Bay throughout his career.
Ultimately you want a team with good upside when the bye week waiver crunch occurs, and the hot Packers team is poised to shut down the struggling Chicago Bears ofense in Week 10. At the very worst we think 2-3 interceptions and a couple of sacks will ultimately be the counting stats to help this streaming option along.
If Green Bay is on their best game, they may also hold Chicago to less than 20 points scored and put up most of the 53 total points Las Vegas projects for this contest. Ultimately the Packers are our strongest waiver wire pickup option for Week 10 of fantasy football, so get them scooped up immediately and plug them in with no hesitation.
