BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep, Three Wide Receiver Leagues
Owned in 57% of Fleaflicker leages
ANALYSIS: James Jones lost a ton of fantasy appeal when he made the transition from Aaron Rodgers throwing him the football to Derek Carr. There is almost no chance of Jones scoring 14 touchdowns, as he did in 2012 with the Packers, but that's not to say he is unattractive in his new role. No matter who is throwing him the pigskin, Jones has a knack for the spectacular play, somehow snatching up balls that are seemingly impossible to catch. As a result, Jones is actually on pace for a career-high in yards. He is also currently the number one target in Oakland's lackluster receiving corps, so he is likely to continue his pace of seven targets per game (also the highest of his eight-year career).
The 30-year-old should be owned in just about all leagues, but if an owner has become impatient and dropped him, scoop him up and anticipate improvement in the Oakland passing game going forward. Jones is worthy of a start in deep, three-WR leagues and in shallower leagues as an injury or bye replacement.
