Joseph Randle (RB, DAL) - Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS:  I'm sure many people have noticed that DeMarco Murray is on fire this year with over 100 yards each of the first 5 games of the season.  This accomplishment has only happened 3 times ever!  To add to this accomplishment Murray has broken many other records...but this waiver wire pickup recommendation is about his backup Joseph Randle.  Why?  The reason is simple, Murray is on pace to tie a single season record for the number of carries (416) and that is unheard of.

As recent as this morning news outlets are reporting that Jason Garrett, Dallas Head Coach, said that "Demarco was out there and we think thats'sprobably too many carries in the game, week in and week out.  He ended up with 31 so we'd like to get that number lower.  We'd really just like to get the other guys an opportunity."

This is where I mention Joseph Randle as someone to monitor or add in deeper leagues.  So far the sample size with both backup running backs is very small (22 carries combined) but based off what I've seen Randle looks like the RB to own as Lance Dunbar looks like a 3rd down back. For those of you in shallow leagues continue monitoring this situation.  If you are in a deeper league Randle could be a nice cheap RB waiver wire option.
